Glad you agree with my choice of Hotel, Roddy! The time to discuss this further is clearly at Voitsberg this year. My availability to organize this remotely is all dependent on my health, financial and employment situation. It's too early to know what these will be like in late 2014 but I certainly hope for them to be improved by then!

Welcome back Robert!

I think it is an amazing Idea. very hard to realize but still doable.

In big world cup usually the "home team" gives no 20% or 30% but usually it is 50% of the total world cup attenders.
But, as Robert said, Barcelona could be different or better, Barcelona will be surely different for the reasons you mentioned.
Said than I wouldn't mind to have a 25 players world cup though, so welcome Barcelona.
I think that cousin and I would like to make the trip by van. it is 1100 Km and this would required 2 extra days off to not be completely brain off at the world cup. it is clear that if we want our wives to join the world cup, I guess they would come by plane though because Amiga monitors aren't so comfortable to be a sit.
As you mentioned the hardware issue already, I tell you my point of view:
first, we have so understand how many players we will have there, than we will have to realize how many Amiga we need.
If we cannot reach the appropriate number of Amiga to keep the tournament to have reasonable times and numbers of games to play (According to the last recent experiences) in my opinion we could flank some WinUAE stations to the original Amiga.
I could sound blasphemous but I can guarantee that a now days laptop set in the proper way, with the right USB adaptor can handle KO2 like a true Amiga 1200. My 6 years old laptop can handle winuae and Ko2 with no problems. it is just a matter of knowledge in how to set properly winUAE and the monitor.
For example we could have 8 amiga station and 2/4 laptops to flank. This would cover a 36 players world cup.
It is clear that someone could turn up the nose about such idea. But I think it would be a good compromise.

Gianni: 1100 km is ALMOST Tromsø - Östersund :) But I guess you'll have better roads...

I'm totally FOR this idea. Robert's got my full backing.
