The Kick Off 2 KOA Competition Version disk comes with all the World Cup setting applied by default.
Here is the full set of default settings applied in in the upcoming World Cup:

STANDARD OPTIONS
PITCH : NORMAL
DURATION : 2 X 5 Minutes
WIND : OFF
EXTRA TIME : NO
AFTER TOUCH : YES
SPEED GAME : NORMAL (100%)
SKILL LEVEL : INTERNATIONAL
TACTICS : 4-2-4; 4-3-3; 4-4-2; 5-3-2; Blitz; Falcon; Balanced; Lockout
REFEREE : RANDOM

ADVANCED KO2CV OPTIONS
REMOVE TEAM A ADVANTAGE : ON (A=B)
PBD MODE individually selectable in pre game section
AUTO SLIDE FIX : ON
TRAP SLIDE FIX : OFF

GENERAL OPTIONS
SCANNER SIZE : DEFAULT
STARTING LINE UP : DEFAULT
TEAM A: YELLOW (Kit Design)
TEAM B: BLUE (Kit Design)
Participants can substitute their players and choose any tactics at any point during the match. They cannot however change the starting lineups. During the game it is also allowed to change the the PBD mode and Autofix state anytime using key "9". That way it's possible to set the Trapfix state, however it should be noted that it can only be set to ON if both players agree. Key "9" cycles between all 9 possible states of APT (Autofix - Penalty box dribble - Trapfix).
If the Amiga crashes at any point during the game, the players should begin a new game starting with the same score they had at the time of the crash and for the approximate duration of the time that was remaining. If the players and the people who were watching the match cannot agree on the time of the crash, they should play for the maximum time the agree on. (Ie: If player A says there were 4 minutes remaining and player B says there 3, they will play a 4 minute game). In any case, the score will not change; it will always be the score they had at the time of the crash. If some players were sent off before the crash, they will remain off the pitch. We expect the players to be honest and base their estimations on fair play.
To remove a player from the pitch, pause the game, press ] and use the cursor keys to select him and R to remove/return him. To change the time remaining, press ] again and use the Time Menu.
In leagues, the players will be sorted by:
a) Most points
b) Most points in the match(es) between them
c) Most goals in the match(es) between them
d) Greatest goal difference
e) Most goals scored
f) In the unlikely event of a tie in all of the above, a playoff match
In knockout matches, the winner is the player who scores the most goals (no away goals rule). If both player have scored the same number of goals after the two games, they should play two halves of extra time (1:40 min each). If the score is still even after extra time, qualification will be decided on penalty kicks.
When you start the second leg of a playoff match, you must pause the game at the beginning and use the cursor keys to activate the “second leg” option and set the score of the first leg. If the aggregate score after the two matches is a tie, overtime will start automatically.
The settings may change if both players agree, but if you do change them please remember to set the options back to default before leaving the Amiga.

Professional!

I had indeed predicted, a couple of years ago though, that this will be the way things will finally settle.

This way you will all enjoy it the most and in the long run it will make people practise their defensive skills even more.

I will be missing the random madness though! :(  :x  :(

It's an interesting result.

Professional work all involved, I'm sure this world cup will be one of the greatest.

Im surprised how close we were to geting No Autoslide Fix as well...I thought that was generally seen as one of the more globally accepted fixes but the same wise man did warn me that it would be close!

I guess some people (especially in Italy) want to keep KO2 as pure as they can, fair play to them ;)

Mark, it is the second time you make allusions about Italian votes.
Consider that there were 17 Italians eligible to vote but just 7 of them voted whom 6 gave a preference of the setting (1 vote for A3-B3). So basically we can assume that 65% of the Italians who will attend the world cup "voted" A3-B3. result that respects what I wrote before the world cup setting vote("the most they don't really care about settings").
On the other side 82% of the foreigners eligible to vote gave their preference (18).
It isn't the Italian vote that gave the A2 B1 result, but the usual KOA used to travel around the Europe: without counting Italian votes the result is the same: A2 B1

Damn italians. Can't be counted on to bully the voting...

I'd say this vote, more or less, pictures the actual view of the entire KOA. And I think it's a good result.
Considering that those FOR the trapfix, which is the biggest issue, can play with that enabled, when playing each other, while the standard setting is Trapfix off.

I bet half the non italians are born in italy ;)

Gianni my comment was meant as a compliment to all Italians however i agree perhaps i jumped the gun about who voted, i just presumed the Italian contingent would be the ones most likely to keep the faith :)
