As usual we used the international teams (with the wc-version), dividing the teams as followed :
- Frank F - Scotland - struggling succesfully to win the tournament with a clean record
- Jan K - Holland - giving some of us more than just a hard time with the best play I ever saw of him
- Thorsten B - England - having problems to (re-)adjust to the international teams
- Michael L - Spain - becoming more and more my new (and old) archenemy
- Carsten P - Germany - showing light and shadow in his performance
- Patrick S - French - reaching his goal to have beaten everyone from Koenigswinter at least once
- Udo T - Italy - wining the internal Rotten cup (he and Patrick are both from the village "Rott")
- Cornelius H - Sweden - effortlessly trying to scratch the nimbus of the german champ

Udo T 0 - 6 Carsten P
Patrick S 1 - 3 Cornelius H
Jan K 2 - 4 Michael L

First of all, congratulations to Frank, the superior winner of the night !!
No big surprise - the champ is the champ.
But with Jan's great performance, we had a true sensation. Who would have expected the last of the ranking list and shamie of the wc, to compete so well, ending with an equal balance of 3 victories, 1 draw and 3 defeats and even finishing above Thorsten.
Another point to mention is Patrick's win over Carsten. After he beated me the last time, he has now beaten everyone of us at least once.
And I - finally - got rid of my growing "Thorsten-phobia", by beating him after a long time of humiliating defaets.
With an - in Koenigswinter not realy usual discipline, we finished the tournament quite early at around half past two. So after our guest from the RMKO left us, there was plenty of time for another round. (Without the spontaneous decay of the just mentioned discipline, it would have been more than enough time for at least two rounds
Patrick although quit, heading for his bed since he had to get up relativly early. Again a big thank you for letting the party going on - I truly envy you for your healthy sleep.
34. Koenigswinter whatsoever :
Carsten P 5 - 1 Udo T
Michael L 7 - 1 Carsten P
Michael L 3 - 2 Cornelius H
Cornelius H 5 - 0 Udo T
Carsten P 4 - 4 Cornelius H
Udo T 0 - 8 Michael L

This time the victory goes to Michael, staying undefeated in this second competition - you clearly drink to little.
Michael although had the best scorer, E. Kemp with 20 goals, followed second by Carsten's J. Downs and my G.M. Little and J. Palmer with 12 goals each.
Only his third important goal, being the most unfair player of the night, stayed absolutly unreachable. Udo was the "champ of the cards", with an impressive collection of 13 yellow and 5 red cards in a total of 10 games.

and to all who took part.
