Btw, I have contacted Italian Luca, about his danish friend (Aksel) He háve been close on at least one earlier occation to join a ko2-tournament. Hopefully he is interested when this is so close to Denmark.

Excellent video!

At 1:17, the ball has been lifted from the ground due to the many dribbling touches (including the ones where the players run onto each other). So when the button is pressed, you don't shoot, but go into trap mode, so you trap the ball when it comes down again, then the fire button is released and it becomes a pass instead of the intended shot. The height of the ball was also responsible for the keeper not running towards the approaching ball. (The keeper went for a dive only due to the ball being dribbled towards him.)

This kind of stuff only happens with PBD. Btw, it's a good example of there being a bit more to PBD mastery than just running around in circles with glue on your feet. You do get a few extra turns, but only a few, and one drawback is that it's quite tough to do other stuff with the ball, like deciding to get clear of it in anticipation of a later trap or turn.

PS. I at least don't THINK there is a shot being fired only to be trapped by the same player, I think there ever only was a trap, but maybe somebody knows about it and can correct me.

Thanks for the explanation, Dagh. I was interested in the point about the ball's height tho - it seems you're suggesting its possible to trap the ball at a certain height even though its not possible to shoot from that same height ? You'd think logically that if its too high to shoot then it'd be too high to trap also. I don't know for sure of course - I'm just asking. Only Camberman may know the answer ?

Well, my idea is that if the ball has too much height when you press the button, you don't shoot or trap (you have no contact with the ball), but you go into trap mode. You then trap the ball when it falls down again.

Compare to normal dribbling. If you press the button when the ball has been tapped ahead of you, you don't shoot or trap (yet), but you go into trap mode and then trap the ball when you get in contact with the ball again.

In this example the ball distance from the player is just in height instead of horizontal, and we make contact with the ball again by the ball losing height rather than by the player running into it.

If you play with low gravity, you can more clearly see how you add height to the ball by dribbling. It is also possible to add some height to the ball with normal gravity and especially with PBD. You can add just enough height to the ball so that the ball is "above" the player (but not yet high enough for our player to jump for a header when the button is pressed).

Anyway, yeah, do try a bit of low gravity dribbling, then you will easily experience what is going on in this video clip.

Got some danish crowns from a friend of mine, so nothing could stop Volker and me from going to Lund!

Our plan is to arrive in Copenhagen on Friday at about 20'00 o'clock.

On Saturday we will play the tournament and on Sunday we drive home.
