Bavarian Open 2008

Postby kRadD » Sat Jun 07, 2008 12:22 pm

This year there will be another bavarian Kick Off Open during the Xzentrix party

The Xzentrix retrocomputer party will be from the 12-14 of September in Seeshaupt based on the lake of Starnberg (30KM away from Munich).

The area is well known for it's touristic attractions, so a family hollidays are woth to consider.

Nearby are:
- Munich
- monastery of Andechs (well known for it's beer specialities)
- Castle Neuschwanstein. The most famous touristic attraction in Bavaria I guess
- Lake of Starnberg

The tournament itself will take place at the 13th of September

Hotels are no problem to find. Sleeping in the hall is also possible.

So far it we are 3 players, last year we were 5 players. So it will be a smaller tournament

cool pictures on the website krad! Great to see the MSX getting some use after all these years. My mate had one of these and there was some great games for it! I remember one footy management game where you could develop your stadium by having terracing/seating and I think it memory serves...the ability to change the name of the stands. (although I may be wrong on that last one)

EDIT: Although I only remember it with Speccy type graphics though and not what looks like 16bit graphics on some of the pics.

Good luck with this year's Bavarian Open kRad 8)

I've added it to the KOASI calendar. Any chance you could give the link below a plug on your website ? You never know it might bring in the odd player ? :)

I add the RSS to the homepage of the side. Cool, so I don't need to mention them in my calendar.

Latest BayKO2M News:

- Thomas H. will participate in the tournament
- Robert St (Rob. S.) will start training
- Another german forum visitor will come

Robert St. (organizer) - 2nd KO Tournament
Thorsten B.
Andreas (surname will follow)
Herbert (surname will follow)
Markus B.

Results:

Robert St. - Andreas 2:0
Nobert K. - Markus B. 0:2
Herbert - Thorsten 0:7

Andreas - Norbert K. 1:0
Markus B - Thorsten B. 0:3
Herbert - Robert St. 0:3

Herbert - Markus B. 0:0
Norbert K. - Robert St. 0:3
Thorsten B. - Andreas 5:0

Thorsten B - Norbert K. 8:0
Robert St. - Markus B. 4:1
Herbert - Andreas 0:1

Robert St. - Thorsten B. 1:0
Andreas - Markus B. 0:1
Norbert K. - Herbert 0:2

Table:

Because there were 4 newbies, their matches made a lof of fun, even that the games against Robert St. and me were useless for them.

Therefor Robert and I enjoyed our two games a lot, also the 20 training games before :-)

Game of Shame: Norbert K. - Herbert 0:2
Game for the 3rd Place: Andreas - Markus B. 0:1

Finale: Robert St. - Thorsten B. 1:2

Thanks to Robert and Herbert for the great organization, Heiko for the disks and Nobert, Andreas and Markus for participation

Congratulations Thorsten! :no1: Your tourney glory is on display at KOASI now! Seems like you had a tense, close finale with Robert St. Glad all you guys had fun and hope the four newcomers come back for more! If any team photos were taken, they'd be good to see.... :)
