I find that although you can eventually read the computer, it can also read you (or at least react) therefore Computer games tend to be pretty low key affairs with little real action.

Human v Human is far different as there is far more openess and chances to create things whereas the computer can read and stop.

For example vs Humans you can go on mazy dribbles and send in deep crosses that leave your opponent flat footed.

You have a lot more time to think what to do, but so does your opponent therefore there are far more opportunities, the best players defend well. (therefore I am out first round!)

Hmm, intersting info. I could try playing against my GirlFriend but I can;t see that helping too much. Her hand to eye coordination is hopeless when it comes to games

Looks like i'll have to rely on sheer luck and good fortune !!

!!! Well, I am unbeaten in many years against human opposition but then I have had no skilled human opponents for many years

Although I would love to be in with a chance I think the Tijssen brothers are going to be hard to beat considering they get the chance to play top-class human v human games.

As has already been said, those with human opponents have an advantage. But me and my 20-year-old Atari VCS joystick will be fine-tuned and up for the challenge!

Well I am gonna spend the next week rooting through my attic for a sign of my old Comp Pro 5000, if I find it I have no idea what shape it will be in, so I will turn up with a half working, sellotape covered joystick.

So please have pity when you are about to score the 10th against me and my team...

Ha! I go away for a month, and what do you know? Nobody thinks of me as the tournament's favorite. Well boys, let me remind you that I won two Kick Off 2 All-Athens championships in my time.. and I am still UNBEATABLE in a more-than-10-games tournament against ANY human.. so I guess I have a pretty good chance.
Seriously now, based on my experience, I think the man who plays the best defence will win. Anyone of us can score a number of goals, but how good are you when it comes to defending ferocious attacks from experienced players?

Yes, defending is very important. There are sure a few player's which are scoring goals each time when they are near by the goal.

Alkis, we still don't know if you are going to be there, so that could be a reason why you are not among the favorites.
As I saw that Franco Chiandotto a.k.a. 'Screech' will be in Dartford I will add him as one of my favs. Just check out his statistics om this site:
http://www.inet.hr/~icondor
17 victories out of 18 matches against KO2 freaks. Very impressive.

If I had to put money on who will win the tournament then it would have to be my old rival Steve Camber to whom I remember YEARS of 2 player games against.

That will put the pressure on him...

Well I have been playing Ko2 on WINUAE for the past two days. I'm rubbish! help!

I cant score, I'm not bad at defending v the computer but that is a different kettle of fish.

I need to train to even have a chance of getting a few points in this tournament it seems!

You never know tho, Alkis you are number one on my hitlist mate!!!!

If only it was on the Atari ST, with a soggy pitch, we'd both probably be in the final ! Never mind, we'll spend the second day of the tourny on the sidelines watching the Amiga boyz battle for the Amiga KO2 title !
