Goodbye Robert Swift!

Postby durban » Mon Dec 14, 2009 2:09 pm

I feel a lot of sadness, just like when a colleague you have worked with for 10 years leaves your company :(

Unfortunately there will not be a whip round and a card to sign in this case, and certainly no leaving do....

The only good news is that he will be coming back as a 'contractor' on better wages 3 times a year :)

I would like the whole of the UK Portion of the KOA to join in with me wishing him luck in his new country.

:beard: :beard: :beard: :beard: :beard: :beard: :cryo: :cryo: :cryo: :cryo: :cryo:

Goodbye Robert, we will look after the UK whilst you are gone!

Well said Durban!

I think someone else described you as something like Mr KOA-UK. And let's face it, there's only one, Robert Swift! I can hear them now on the KO2 terraces! :) You're a colossus on the KOA scene generally and in the UK you have been a huge source of support for me personally with the organising I've been involved in. You will be missed for sure and no one could fill your shoes while you're away - would anyone even dare to try!!!!

I wish you all the luck in the world out there. Hope you enjoy the adventure and look forward to hearing more about your latest life chapter on the forum. All the best mate. :)

Take care Rob, you've been a standard bearer for the KOA in the UK for 6-7 years, now go and conquer the desert :)

Robert is not Mr. KOA-UK, he's Mr. KOA, period. Farewell my friend, and remember your promise to attend world cups.
Remember, remember, the 4th and the 3rd of November

Erm, thanks.... will it spoil this thread to inform you that I am not flying out until 9th January ... and will continue to post on the forum 5-6 times per day after that anyway?

That was my thought exactly. Nobody knows of course what goes on in Mark's brain, but why did you post that on December 14th?

Coz I had just got back from Birmingham after seeing Robert for the last time before he leaves the country!!!

People seem to take this internet thing seriously, what happened to good old person to person meetings!

What's a "person"? Why are you guys-that-live-inside-my-computer discussing these things?!
