The Intel 45nm Wolfdale duos and Yorkfield quads are already out btw.

You're definitely right about Cebit Alex but then some Cebits are more worth waiting for then others. :P

But since we utilize to the fullest this current technology, we'll have to use (for now) pairs and pairs of hardware, for example two graphic cards and so on.

This is the right recipe for a power gobbling machine.

Welcome, OzLevi. And a good point you made, too. Nikos, look at the PSU Davetoast is considering! The CPUs might be getting more efficient, but gamers need these powerhungry gfx cards as well.

Plus I thought the Core2Duo or (whatever it is called that I have) was already one of these big steps forward, and wasn't AMDs Athlon in it's various incarnations also a big step forward, etc, etc? Definitely the improvements seem to come faster and faster (and that well watched youtube video about our future and how by... 2020 - or even sooner - a computer with the combined capacity of all human brains on this planet will cost less than 1000 Dollars seems more and more probable), but even a one year old CPU kicks ass. :)
