it's still available on satellite, internet or cable.
and pubblic broadcasting license was not renewed because they supported a coup d'etat against the democratic nation and a democratic elected president!
Can you really immagine the main french television saying: "Everybody must go in the street, sarcozy government must be kicked out and replaced with Segolene royale without the need of new elections" or lying saying: "Sarcozy is a dictator he killed dozens people on today manifestation"??
how does it sounds now? Do you really think a television can really pretend to broadcast pubblic messages against democracy and to promote false messages??
