Re: Final Whistle Competition Version - 0.1.1 Released 12-03-08

Hi John, I have found an old post about this matter, maybe the Steve's words may help you in to find the right way to have a good goalkeeper in penalties. For the human save, the direction must already be selected at the time that the fire button is pressed... Pressing the fire button and then movi...

Re: UK Championships 2008 | Birmingham | Discussion

Awesome news about the UK champs returning to the 2 day format, but unfortunately that severely reduces my chances of attending. ...I too would struggle to make a 2-day event as the missus works on Saturdays :( I'll try my best to get there though but may only be able to confirm nearer the ev...

Steve C, John Wilson, is that possible?

...I don't know. I've never considered that it could be possible but 'keepers account sounds convincing. I'm sure watching his evidence will be easier than looking at the code :)

Re: Final Whistle Competition Version - 0.1.1 Released 12-03-08

Hi John, we were discussing in the italian forum about the goalkeeper on KO1, expecially on penalties. IMO KO1 is, after FW, the most underrated game ever and there're something that I really miss, like Penalties practice and the "PENALTY!" speech :D But going more focused on KO1 penaltie...

Re: Throw In reviewed at Retroremakes

I like the following quote: "The graphics are great, the play is smooth and realistic to very fine details (moving the wall infree kicks, players reactions to penaltys and free kicks, Arsenal (sorry, Arsenall, watch that copyright) losing every game they play.. It’s a fantastic little (big) ga...

Re: ADF help

Re: Final Whistle Competition Version - 0.1.1 Released 12-03-08

About tactic problems i mean it seems i cannot change tactic ingame with 1-4 keys :?o: I don't seem to get this problem. In any case, there is obviously some problem as the tactics are not correctly shown on the squad list screen. As you say 2.1 fixes all this so that's what I'll be working on next.

Re: Final Whistle Competition Version - 0.1.1 Released 12-03-08

I played few matches, the game is great and absolutely funny! The KO2 keepers and the Optimistic tactic give you a different game much more enjoyable. However the physics in FW is a little bit different so we have pro and cons. PRO: You can perform long balls with a shorter range allowing you to cr...

Re: Final Whistle Competition Version - 0.0.4 Released 07-03-08

I've just posted FW-CV 0.1.1 @ http://www.jonw.f2s.com/KO2 New features as follows: ⋅  KO2 'Keepers! ...this is the feature I've had most requests for. There is an option to enable KO2 'keepers and a sub-option to retain 'FW 'Keeper Height Judgement'. If this is set then the KO2 'Keeper re...
