Gentlemen, I am crying into my Amiga after reading that. Peace, in our time. Let us go forward together etc etc. By the way, I DO appreciate the effort various folks (now I sound like George Bush) have put into the tournament. Just before you think I'm a complete b'stard. After ten years of practice...

Jeez it's been twelve hours since I posted that message and already you guys have declared a 'fatwa' on me. Alright, alright, I APOLOGISE for my earlier comments. However I ask you all to see things from my point of view - I can't suggest anything on here without 5 guys jumping on me and organising ...

With small(ish) groups, then GD could be very important in, say, who comes 4th and who comes 5th. If I am beating someone 8-0 and they press ESC, do I get the 8 goals or do I get a default 3-0 score? What then happens if I come 5th by -1 goal difference?

You guys are full of ideas about what other people should and shouldn't be allowed to do. According to some people, anyone who uses various built-in game functions or scores goals in a certain way is some kind of cheat. I hope the stuff you post on here is no indication of what you'll be like when I...

What are we going to use to record the results? Someone needs to organise this.

Maybe someone could bring a laptop and make an excel spreadsheet? Otherwise it's going to be messy bits of paper.

On my keyboard there is quite a big gap between ESC and F4. There's no way anyone can do this 'by accident'. Press ESC and you lose the game automatically. The only problem is it messes up the goal difference for the other player. Difficult to make a rule for this one, as its better if people just d...

That's brilliant! Thank God I don't have to play James Lockerbie. After ten years of playing the same guy I'm ready for a change.

I would already claim victory if I could be sure of using my Player Manager tactics/teams. However if I have to play 'dumbed down' KO2 like I haven't done for 6 years I may struggle to get out the group phase. I suppose I have until November to get used to players who are slow, can't pass and can't ...

Amiga VS Atari VS PC I once held a tournament with 5 players. We had 1 Amiga and 1 ST. We played each other twice, once on each machine. I am good on either, but two guys had never played ST and struggled. Thus I won the tournament. According to these guys, there are very subtle differences in timin...
