Thanks Steve and Bounty Bob - I appreciate the further explanation, even if my head is starting to spin !! Its easy to forget, I guess, that what the KO2 game is trying to create is a complicated 3-d business. Going back to my original post, can you tell me about how the program checks the ball's po...

"[" and "]" cycle through the screens available when the game is paused. Thanks for that, Steve, which will give plenty of scope for further player/match information. As you say, calculating the figures is the trickly part. How difficult do you think it will be to calculate figu...

I know this will be a lot of information to include on screen but is it possible to include columns for goals, shots, keeper saves, and possibly assists ? I even wondered if you could incorporate the game statistics on the same screen ? Or allow the user to select a second menu ? How do you access ...

Nice one, Steve! The game still seems to work fine for me. Must say I'm slightly confused by the erratic player status values. Does this help you understand how game play works: player scores = 36 keeper dives&saves = 50 keeper kick = 44 player nearest to tackle=30 I know this will be a lot of i...

I've not had a look at the goalkeeper code, but I've seen the goal detection code, and it could be better! We've all seen near misses which count, and simple goals that don't, but that's all part of the charm :) So, Steve, can you give us some more details regarding the goal detection code - I real...

ie - if keeper has this rating and above.. then if ball is `so` close to him = catch Thanks Stainy for that - its beginning to make more sense now... Is this something that could be tweaked ? If there was some kind of variable, say, 'distance-from-keeper' (default=15pixels) which could be set to , ...

The ones that get me are when the keeper is diving and the ball is past his feet, yet he still manages to grab it with his hands! Yeah, he's an acrobatic little f***er sometimes - couldn't you just shoot him! However, bear in mind that I'm the unluckiest player in the KOA. Seems you might have a ch...

the goal that never was..(how did he save that?)

Sorry if this has been raised before but as much as I love KO2 one of the aspects that drives me barmy is when the keeper somehow manages to save the ball even though clearly it would have beat him. You know when the shot is significantly to the side of the keeper but within the goals (particularly ...

Thanks also for the mention of the UK tournament - I'm interested but need to work some things out my end (kids and partner, not least!) so I'll look into it and see what I can do...

new kid on the pitch!

Hi ! This is my first post on the forum although I've been mad (or is that sad ) about KO2 for some time. Firstly back in my amiga days but more recently via the WinUAE emulator and KO2 is the most played game by some distance! I've always rated KO2 - a "high skill" game in my book. ...
