Re: UK Championships 2022 - Manchester 17 Sep (Provisional)

I don't think I can find us a suitable venue for 17th. The Premier Inn Piccadilly is all booked up for that date. All the quotes I'm getting for venues visible online are in the hundreds of pounds. I'm not willing to take a risk on a venue that might be cheaper but could turn out to be completely un...

He confirmed for this year's WC in May, so it basically depends whether he looks at the forum between now and the tournament! Obviously if he attends it will give us the gravitas and credibility we're crying out for.

Re: UK Championships 2022 (Provisional)

As it will be a one day event and most people will probably be travelling on the day, we don't really need to take hotel rooms into account. Perhaps we're all getting a bit too old for real football too - golf might be more age appropriate! I'm pretty sure most have their own transport too, only a h...

Any venue suggestions? Or tips on the best ways to search for suitable economical venues?

UK Championships 2022 - Manchester 17 Sep (Provisional)

Hey everyone, I feel like we don't have any real excuse not to do a UK Championship this year now Covid's sort of gone-but-not-really. I reached out to Ian who was arranging the abortive 2020 edition, sadly he's not in a position to resurrect that at the present time because circumstances. Steve Cam...

Almost Tokyo I

We managed to get three KO2 players in the same room in Tokyo on Sunday and play a few rounds of matches! Sadly this time we couldn't recruit that 4th player to make it official (and I'm returning to Europe in a few weeks) but it's worth knowing that if anyone is passing through Tokyo, there are gam...

Re: Italian Championship 2021

Would it be better to have no World Cup for the 2nd year in a row, or might it be worth thinking about designating these putative Italian Championships as the official 2021 World Cup, even though probably only mostly Italians will be able to attend? I'm not advocating one way or the other, just thro...

Re: World Cup 2019 - Resluts

Looks like a great competition, sorry I couldn't make it this time. Congratulations to the Mighty Thor! I know the results are all listed at http://www.playkickoff.com/2019, I hope they are wending their way here in due course, all nicely tabulated so I can see at a glance who won the 23rd/24th play...

Re: Kick Off 2 World Rankings | February 2017

http://www.ianjameskay.me.uk/KickOff2_WC2018.xlsx has results for World Cups 2018, 2017, and 2015. I can have a go using the last four (or five) world cups only, if someone can point me at the results from 2016 (and 2014)? You're a regular Rumpelstiltskin Mr Kay, I just have to say your name and up...

Re: Kick Off 2 World Rankings | February 2017

While it was being updated and running, the rankings program and the results database were an absolutely fantastic resource (after tournaments, probably the best feature of the KOA), and I'm sure no-one would wish to deny any credit for Alkis for what he created. Perhaps - just as a temporary measur...

Re: 2018 WC - The results

Fewest goals conceded per game - this one was much closer: 1st Gianni 2.85 (57 goals, 20 games) 2nd Stephen D 2.89 (55 goals, 19 games) 3rd Lorenzo 2.94 (50 goals, 17 games) 4th Fabio 3 (66 goals, 22 games) One less conceded for Stephen would have given him the prize Shurely shome mishtake? I suppo...
